the only cardio I do is walking my dogs. But from what I've read this is a certified Sheiko exercise as long as you have 2 dogs.

Plan is to start the Base/preparatory sheiko style program from excel for 4 weeks at my gym and then join a club. what is the closest club in South East Melbourne ??

Current stats: 110kg. All by myself without a belt so i really couldnt push myself

Squat:180kg, DL: 180kg , Bench: 115kg

kind regards,

Southern is your closest club, based in Richmond.
Melbourne Uni is your next closest (Carlton). A couple of guys come from the south east to train with us at Melbourne Uni. Training is Monday and Thursday 6-10pm, Friday 6-8pm. The Friday session can be done at home as it's only a light recovery session.

Great lifters and coaches at either venue - it's up to you. I may be corrected on this by guys from Southern, but both generally follow a more linear periodisation style of programming, rather than sheiko.

Very good numbers for training on your own and you'll benefit hugely from training at a club. I recommend joining straight away as you'll get much more out of the next 4 weeeks than on your own. Things like squat depth especially - generally when you see someone's raw squat the same as their deadlift, there's something up, either (a) grip issues; or (b) squatting high.

sorry to hear about that. I may have met you then, never know.

www.southernpowerliftingclub.com - Jumanji or Simon should be able to help you out with info about joining fees etc.

If you want to come to Melbourne Uni again, you'll get some info here www.powerlifting.net.au
